Trading activity

The trading activity is performed in 5629 trading units, whereof:

• state 787 units (14,0%)
• co-operative 519 units (9,2%)
• 4.323 private units (78,7%)

The 519 co-operative units are in subordination of a number of 22 consumption cooperatives within the entire territory of the county, exclusively in the Jiului Valley where only state and private trading functions.

Regarding the profile of trading units the balance is held by:

• food stores 1,461 (25,9%)
• public food units in total number of 1,408 (25,0%)
• mixed stores 1,013 (17,9%)
• non-food stores 764 (13,5%)
• kiosks 729 (12,9%)
• consignments 249 (4,4%)
