Prima pagina » Economy & SocialLands of RomaniaThe event Lands of Romania is organized between 18 th of May (international Day of Museums) and 11 th of July in Bucharest ( Victoria Place ). Indoor and outdoor exhibitions, conferences, meetings offer a coherent framework to the different approaches of the Hateg region: natural and cultural heritage, traditions, customs, education, local initiatives, projects. The event creates the opportunity to find common topics for an open dialog between local, national and international stakeholders. The event comprises exhibitions and special activities grouped around the following themes:
Community - Tradition and local development (May)
Junior – Youth without ageing (June)
Art – Beauty as a tale between nature and man (June)
Perspectives – The Hateg Country of Europe (July)
The partnership and the event have the support of the Ministry of Culture and Cults, the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth, and local authorities from Hateg Country.
Overall objectives to be followed:
* Promotion of the Natural and Cultural Heritage in Romania and geoconservation;
• Active involvement of the partner institutions and their resources in designing sustainable development strategies;
• Encouraging “The Lands” of Romania to safeguard their local values and to prepare themselves for the “Europe of Regions”.
Special materials concerning Hateg Country have been designed and printed: leaflets, Tourist and Cultural Guide, Multimedia products (three CD-ROMs, two films). Four conferences have planed to be held during the event.
The event aims to promote the Geopark project and geoconservation;, to create a model of partnership and promotion of Romania 's natural and cultural heritage; and to organize cultural and scientific events and related materials.
